How to AirPlay only audio from your Mac

Sending audio from your Mac to a nearby AirPlay device can be a useful tool for presentations, as well as another way to listen to music.

Mirroring AirPlay was first introduced in Mac with the release of OS X Mountain Lion, 2012. The feature makes it possible to take everything on your Mac screen appearance to a nearby TV connected to an Apple TV . But what if you want to share audio without someone else watching your screen, or you simply want to use a service AirPlay speaker to listen to music?

You can use AirPlay on your Mac to only send the dings, beeps and any other sound to AirPlay device. This feature comes in especially handy when listening to the radio station Beats 1 of Apple Music, because Apple AirPlay off in iTunes when you start the flow channel (for some reason I still have to figure out).

To do this you must have a Mac that was built in 2011 or later, running OS X Mountain Lion or later.

Remember, you will need an Apple TV or AirPlay compatible speaker connected to the same network as your Mac for it to work.

In order to stream all audio from your Mac to use AirPlay, you just need to change your computer's audio-out Mac. You can do this one of two ways:

The first is the launch System Preferences, clicking sound, followed by Keimenokartela output, select the appropriate speakers or Apple TV from the list of options.

The easiest method is to hold down the selection button keyboard and then click on the speaker icon in the menu bar. You will then see a list of audio output devices, including any Apple TV or AirPlay speakers on the local network.

Just change the sound on AirPlay device, all audio coming from your Mac will go through the Apple TV, and not the internal speakers Mac.

To change the sound play in internal speakers of your Mac, you can either Option-click the speaker icon again and select internal speakers, or go back to the preferences and change there.
